Oct.05, 2009 in UncategorizedA – Arizona. Poor old Lute Olsen. The guy has been coaching for about 146 years, and he seems like one of the truly good guys in basketball, but he may never get over the complete annihilation his team was handed by North Carolina. There wasn’t a single part of Arizona’s game that wasn’t disgustingly awful. B – Bynum, Andrew. Most of us have socks that are older than the Lakers’ center, but the second year Kareem Abdul-Jabbar disciple is starting to figure out th |

D.J. playing the big hits! (REUTERS/Rick Wilking) Bite-sized morsels of coaching wisdom, courtesy the Broncos PR staff. HEAD COACH JOSH McDANIELS On if he senses that the Broncos are the most talked about team in the NFL at this time “No, I don’t. Whether that is the case or not, there are plenty of things that we need to do a lot better than what we did yesterday moving forward. (It was a) very sloppy first half offensively. (We) couldn’t get into any rhythm. We were in so many |

When someone joins my personal coaching program, one of the first things I ask them to do is to describe exactly what their body is going to look like once I help them reach their goal weight. I ask them to do this in writing – not over the phone, and here’s why… Deeply imbedded negative thoughts are what cause us to have difficulties in any weight loss or health enhancement program – in fact, our past failures can almost always be traced back to negative thoughts that we didn’t even realize w |

by Masami Sato What we should be doing when the economy is down. When the financial market is in chaos all across the world, people consider clinging on to whatever they have and also reduce expenses. And they think that everybody does so, mainly because newspapers proclaim as such. However, each and every person ISN’T doing so. There are sections of the society which prosper, come what may. Those, who feel surprised about this odd equation, can find the clue for it in a most obvious place |

Sorry for the lack of posting last week, midterm time can really be stressful on a student. Anyway, in case you didn’t know, the Rams got trounced yesterday 35-0. The offense and special teams played awful and the defense played great. Here are my negatives and positives from the game yeserday: Steven Jackson: Positive Rest of the Offense: Negative Special Teams: Negative Coaching (mostly): Negative And that’s basically all you need to know about the game yesterday. So, in place of a |

The outclassed Devils lost badly in their opener to the Flyers on Saturday, and Martin Brodeur didn’t look very sharp. The Red Wings dropped two straight to the Blues in Sweden. Vancouver, which has been hyped as the best team in Canada, lost to Calgary and Colorado — Colorado! What’s the message from these clubs? Same as Kevin Bacon’s: Don’t panic.“First-game jitters,” pooh-poohed Devs Captain Jamie Langenbrunner (quoted by Rich Chere on his Star-Ledger blog). “Everybody was gripping their stic |

Everyone has their pet peeves. For some, it’s the overuse of the word “great”, or other phrases in sports that seem cliche` or worn out. I’ve never been a huge fan of the term, “once proud”, as in franchise. Every franchise — or school program — suffers through a down-cycle. The Yankees went almost 2 decades between World Series titles. They beat the Dodgers in 1978, lost to them three years later and didn’t show up again in the Fall Classic until 1996. But, you’d hardly have called them |

By Ed Bagley In a scant 60 minutes, the University of Washington's entire football program went from a lingering negative impact since the departure of legendary coach Don James in 1993, to a positive impact when the Huskies opened their 2009 season against No. 11-ranked Louisiana State University. Find out how it happened so quickly. Copyright © 2009 Ed Bagley In a scant 60 minutes, the University of Washington’s entire football program went from a lingering negative impact since |

by Steve Wood Affiliate marketing is something most look into but never act on it. This is a foolish approach to take when there is so much money to be earned online, and it as your name on it. Companies are crying out for good affiliate marketers to help them move their products, and 90% are happy to pay a hansom commission for you doing so. I know it looks like you need to be a genius with a computer and know how to build web sites and the rest of the stuff people make look easy. Well you |

With Drew having left for the airport to see his Vikings play the Packers (and then subsequently realizing that his flight was booked EIGHT DAYS LATER ), the weekly ritual of mocking the NFL’s noted sports and travel writer falls on someone else’s shoulders this week. Hopefully you’ll still enjoy the same dick joke taste. And personally, I don’t know what the dealio is with SI.com, but now it seems that I can’t copy excerpts from that site from Google Chrome into our Wordpress editor. BRING BAC |
